To Play at School or at Home!

Ecohuella is an educational board game with augmented reality, for boys from 6 to 12 years old. It is accessed by downloading and running an app on a smartphone or tablet, and point the camera at the printed board to start playing.

There are 3 levels: The house, the neighborhood and the city, with different complexity.

The TV is on and no one is watching, the bathroom shower is open, broken pipes wasting water, waste strewn in the streets. Help Lorenzo, his neighbors and the rest of the citizens to solve these environmental problems! Follow the advice of your dog Astor, answer the trivia and score points to win!

Do not prohibit the use of smartphones in classrooms, teach them to make good educational use of technology, and they will be able to exponentially enhance their learning

Game mechanics

The students will have to observe each of the scenarios, detect what the problems are (waste of resources, pollution, etc.) and use each of the 10 cards (Caring for air, water, electricity, planting trees, recycling waste , organic compost, noise abatement, body care, renewable energy and clean order) to solve these problems, and generate a positive ecological footprint. Astor the dog will continually be teaching ways to achieve a positive ecological footprint, ways to decrease pollution and the importance of natural resources. By doing actions with the cards the game will test the knowledge acquired with multiple choice trivia questions. Depending on how these questions are answered, it will be the score that you will obtain and the result of a positive or negative ecological footprint.

Purpose of the game

This game has been developed in order to raise awareness in students about environmental pollution. Providing tools so that they learn in a didactic and fun way about caring for the environment, with the ultimate goal of promoting a respectful attitude towards nature.

This game contributes to the development of STEAM skills.

Each action you take leaves an impact or footprint on the environment, it will depend on you whether this ecological footprint is positive or negative for your planet!
